Personal care products have some of the worst recycling rates. In fact, upwards of 80 billion plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles are thrown away globally. Each. Year.
This is a huge concern for us, and as a company that creates natural shampoos and conditioners, we feel the need to contribute to the solution.
So, along with offering true natural liquid shampoos and conditioner in 100% non-virgin, recyclable plastic bottles, we have created salon quality, true natural, solid shampoo and conditioner bars.
Reducing plastic waste has never looked so good
The idea of shampoo and conditioner bars is fantastic; they’re a concentrated product (meaning more washes!) with no need for plastic packaging.
The reality, however, can be disappointing.
Many solid shampoo bars are actually just soap, and leave behind a waxy residue. Alternatively, they’re filled with harsh ingredients that strip your natural oils and can irritate your scalp.
And in this busy, modern world, convenience and performance often need to override good intentions.
So when we set out to develop our shampoo and conditioner bars, they needed to meet the following criteria:
They needed to work really well
There’s no point creating a product that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. And in our mind, a shampoo removes build-up and dirt, it doesn’t add to it. They also need to work for the majority of people, which is why they are gentle, colour safe and available in 4 different varieties.
Be enjoyable to use
This includes having a great natural lather, offering pleasing scents, and leaving hair clean, nourished, and looking and feeling its best.
Offer amazing value
These solid shampoo bars last. Thanks to their amazing lather, you won’t be using more than necessary. More than this, there are no issues with spillage, so there’s less waste that way too. On average, you should be able to have 50+ washes with each shampoo bar and up to 100 washes with each conditioner bar, depending on hair quantity and moisture needs.
Are Eco-friendly
In addition to having zero plastic waste, each bar is biodegradable, cruelty free and vegan friendly. And you won’t find any parabens, SLS, silicones, palm oils or artificial colours or fragrances in these bars either.
For Best Results
Step 1: Wet hair & bar. In order to create a proper lather, both your hair and the bar need to be thoroughly wet.
Step 2: Rub bar onto hair. Rub the bar into your hair and scalp, going from root to tip with a combing motion.
Step 3: Massage into hair. Once lathered, use your hands to massage shampoo into your hair and scalp.
Step 4: Rinse Thoroughly. Rinse away lather (ideally with cool water) to reveal cleaner, healthier hair. Follow up with a Nature’s Aid conditioner.
Making your bar last
To maximize the number of washes you get from your bar, keep it dry between uses.
Keep it out of puddles – don’t leave your bar in a puddle of water (like those that form on your shower ledge).
Allow air flow – use a soap dish or other device that allows air flow and will keep your bar dry.
Keep it protected – on the go? Ensure your bar is completely dry before packing it in a soap travel case.
