Nature’s Aid makes the best natural bath and shower products

This is a bold claim, we know, and not one that we make lightly.

However, we stand behind this statement because we stand behind the ingredients we use. Many hours of research have gone into our formulas, and as such our shampoo and conditioner are the best natural options on the market to nourish both scalp and hair.

Consumer interest in the products they’re using and the ingredients they contain is on the rise. However, many people mistakenly believe that the shorter the ingredient list is, the better.

We often get comments that our ingredient list is long. It is, yet two-thirds of our list includes essential oils, extracts, vitamins and conditioners that promote healthier hair and scalp. The remaining ingredients are comprised of the essential components of a shampoo and conditioner such as surfactants, conditioners and other support ingredients.

For our shampoo we started with sourcing the highest quality surfactants available. We selected only those that were mild, naturally derived and would create a great lather to make the hair washing experience easier.

Next came the vitamins, essential oils and conditioners which are vital for repairing damaged hair, preventing further damage, and moisturizing. It is these ingredients that distinguish our shampoo and conditioner from most others on the shelf because they promote a healthier scalp which leads to healthier hair.

Many conditioners on the market are formulated to give the illusion of conditioned hair. Our conditioner truly conditions. However, in order to achieve maximum benefits, it is important that users follow the directions on the bottle. This means leaving the conditioner on the hair for 1-2 minutes before rinsing. When you let the conditioner set in, the ingredients have time to penetrate and properly moisturize.

We have 8 key ingredients for moisturizing and nourishing:

Pea Peptide (Shampoo and Conditioner)

Fresh peas in the bowl - used to make pea peptide

Pea Peptide is a complete source of essential amino acids. The most notable one is lysine, an essential building block for human cells. It is this unique balance of nutrients that give pea peptide its beneficial hair volumizing, anti-aging, cell regenerative, antioxidant, conditioning and strengthening properties. Other key benefits of pea peptide include:

Its large range of vitamins – D, E, K and A – as well as large amounts of healthy proteins and essential fats

Contains anti-inflammatory properties and anti-oxidants that can keep the scalp happy and healthy

Pea peptide helps retain moisture in the hair

Repairs damage at a cellular level, promoting new growth

Minimizes damage to hair follicles and the scalp caused by UV rays and free radicals

Tocopheral, or Vitamin E (Shampoo and Conditioner)

An essential and versatile vitamin, Vitamin E protects the skin barrier’s oil balance, which can be damaged during the cleansing process. This vitamin promotes hydration and healing of the scalp and hair, improving shine and texture, while simultaneously strengthening hair.

Panthenol, or Vitamin B Complex (Shampoo and Conditioner)

Panthenol helps moisturize hair and prevents dehydration, giving it a smoother, glossier look. A great conditioning ingredient, panthenol gives hair strands “slip” which discourages knots and tangles.

Tea Tree Oil (Shampoo and Conditioner)

Tea Tree Flower

With anti-inflammatory properties, tea tree oil is effective at preventing and treating minor cases of dandruff.

Nettle Extract (Shampoo and Conditioner)

Plays an important role in balancing scalp oils. This not only helps keep your hair cleaner for longer, but is important in treating dandruff.

Sea Buckthorn (Shampoo)

sea-buckthorn

Sea Buckthorn has high Omega 7 content and antioxidant levels that are known to strengthen and shine hair, skin and nails. This ingredient has been found to help protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation and free-radical damage; and is an effective anti-irritant.

Peppermint Oil (Shampoo and Conditioner)

Peppermint Oil

Beneficial for relieving irritation to the skin and scalp due to dryness or dandruff. Peppermint oil also helps increase blood circulation, promoting healthy hair growth.

Shea Butter (Conditioner)

With many nonsaponifiable components (meaning they cannot be converted into soap with the treatment of alkali) shea butter is better able to retain its moisturizing properties, making it one of the preferred moisturizers for your skin and hair.

The list above is only a small sample of the wonderful ingredients included in our shampoo and conditioner. When combined, there is no better experience for your hair, whether it’s thick or thin, curly or straight, coloured or damaged.
