Our Commitment to Sustainable Packaging

A name like Nature’s Aid can be interpreted different ways; as using nature to aid us or as us helping nature. We like to think of our company as doing both. We’re constantly researching the healing and beneficial properties of different ingredients, finding just the right combination to include in our products. And on the other hand, we want to make sure we’re treating our environment with the care it deserves.

As a company, we talk a lot about our ingredients, their natural beneficial properties and how they are sustainably sourced. But realized we should be talking more about our sustainable packaging as well.

We recently received the following email:

« I absolutely love your products and have been using them for over a decade, my only concern is that with so many new products coming out, there’s a lot of plastic waste building up. Have you at all considered using packaging that is more eco-friendly? I love that you strive for all natural ingredients, I’d just be interested in seeing something that then returns to nature a little easier once we’re done with it. »

And since some of you may be wondering the same thing, I wanted to dedicate a post to answering this great question.

In short, our answer to the above email is « Absolutely! »

Protecting the environment is extremely important to all of us at Nature’s Aid. From the ingredients we use to our packaging and how we run the business, it’s all done with our environmental footprint in mind.
Our bottles are made with 100% non-virgin plastic so that we’re not adding more to our planet. Products such as our handcrafted bar soaps are packaged in recycled cardstock. Our skin gel is currently available in select bulk grocers across the country and our goal is to have other products such as shampoo and body wash available in bulk in the near future too.
And we’re not done yet.
In addition to the above sustainable packaging initiatives, we’re looking to introduce even more eco-friendly items in biodegradable packaging. And we’re always looking for ways to improve.
